Avoid Heat Exposure
Avoid saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, or excessive sun exposure for 48-72 hours after treatment. Heat can increase swelling and irritation in the treated area.

Avoid Exercise and Strenuous Activity
Avoid strenuous physical activity and vigorous exercise for at least 24-48 hours following PRP injections. Physical activity may cause excessive swelling and disrupt the injected PRP’s absorption.

No Alcohol or Smoking
Avoid alcohol and smoking for at least 48 hours after the procedure. Both can interfere with the healing process, slow down collagen production, and increase the risk of bruising.

Swelling and Bruising
Mild swelling, redness, and bruising in the treatment area are common after PRP injections. These side effects typically subside within 1-2 days to 1 week. You can apply a cold compress to reduce swelling, but avoid direct ice contact with your skin.

Avoid Touching or Applying Products to the Treatment Area

Sun Protection
Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to the treated area daily for at least 2 weeks after the procedure. The skin will be more sensitive to UV damage, and sun exposure can affect the results.

Results Timeline
Full results from PRP therapy, whether for hair restoration or skin rejuvenation, may take 3-6 weeks to fully appear. As PRP stimulates collagen and cell regeneration, results gradually improve over time. Follow-up sessions may be needed to maintain or enhance the results.

Monitor for Infection or Complications

Hair Restoration (if applicable)
For PRP hair restoration treatments, be sure to follow your provider’s recommendations regarding shampooing or using topical products. You may be advised to avoid washing your hair for 24-48 hours after treatment.
