Hydrate

Moisturize your skin regularly with a soothing, hydrating cream to support the healing process. Hydrated skin heals more effectively and reduces the chance of irritation or excessive peeling.

Sun Protection:

Your skin will be more sensitive to UV rays after a chemical peel, so it’s essential to apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily, even if you are indoors. Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 1-2 weeks after the treatment.

Avoid Heat and Sweating:
For 24-48 hours post-peel, avoid hot showers, saunas, or intense physical exercise that may cause sweating or increased blood flow to the skin. These can irritate or inflame your treated skin.

No Makeup for 24-48 Hours:
After the treatment, avoid wearing makeup for at least 24 hours to allow the skin to breathe and heal properly. If you must wear makeup after this period, choose non-comedogenic (non-pore-clogging) products.

Peeling Phase:
Expect some peeling or flaking to begin within 2-3 days post-treatment. Do not pick or pull at the skin, as this can cause scarring. Allow the skin to shed naturally.

Avoid Other Treatments:
For at least 7-10 days, avoid any other facial treatments such as microdermabrasion, laser treatments, or additional peels that may irritate the skin.

Gentle Skincare:
Stick to a mild, soothing skincare routine for 3-5 days post-peel. Avoid any exfoliating or active products (such as Vitamin C or retinoids) until your skin has healed completely.

Avoid Hot Water:
For 24-48 hours post-treatment, avoid hot water on your face, as it can irritate and further dry out your skin. Use lukewarm water when cleansing your face.

Monitor for Signs of Infection or Unusual Reactions:
While peeling and redness are common, if you experience excessive redness, pain, swelling, or blistering, contact your practitioner immediately.

Schedule a follow-up appointment with your practitioner if needed to monitor progress and determine whether additional treatments are necessary.
