Immediate Care (First 24-48 Hours):

Redness and Swelling: You may experience redness and mild swelling, which is normal and should subside in 24-48 hours. Avoid Touching: Do not touch your face with unclean hands.
Avoid picking or scratching the treated areas to prevent infection.
Cooling: Use a cold compress or ice pack to soothe any discomfort or swelling, but never apply ice directly to the skin. Always use a cloth barrier.

Moisturize:
Apply a gentle, hydrating moisturizer (preferably one recommended by your practitioner) to keep the skin nourished and hydrated. This is crucial for the healing process.

Sunscreen Protection:
Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) every day for at least 7-10 days after the treatment, even if you are indoors. Your skin will be more sensitive to UV rays, and sunscreen will protect against hyperpigmentation.

Avoid Heat and Sweating:
Refrain from strenuous exercise, hot showers, saunas, or steam rooms for at least 48 hours to minimize inflammation or irritation.

Avoid direct heat sources like blow dryers or hot baths for the first few days.

No Makeup for 24-48 Hours:
Wait at least 24 hours before applying makeup to ensure your skin has time to heal and minimize the risk of irritation or infection.

Use non-comedogenic (non-pore-clogging) makeup products if you must wear makeup.

Avoid Harsh Skincare Products:
For 3-5 days post-treatment, avoid products with retinoids, acids (AHAs, BHAs), or strong exfoliating ingredients. Stick to mild, soothing, and hydrating skincare.

Avoid Sun Exposure:
For 1-2 weeks post-treatment, avoid direct sun exposure as your skin will be more sensitive. Wear a wide-brimmed hat and sunscreen when outdoors.

Stay Hydrated:

Continue drinking plenty of water to support skin hydration and healing.

Don’t Pick or Scratch:
Avoid picking at any scabs or peeling skin, as it may cause scarring. Allow your skin to shed naturally.

If you have any concerns about unusual side effects like prolonged swelling, irritation, or infection, contact your practitioner. A follow-up appointment may be scheduled based on your individual treatment plan.
